abstract FIELD: process engineering.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to membrane technologies.. Method of forecasting works on the principle of correlation of gas chromatography properties of substances obtained in column with stationary liquid phase with analysed membrane transport properties. Separation of fluids by pervaporation and gas chromatography is described by interrelated characteristics in case polymers of separation diffusion layers are identical in terms of physic and chemistry. For forecasting of separation properties pervaporation membrane analysed component times of residence at chromatographic column are measured, said column having stationary fluid phase identical to that membrane-forming polymer. Magnitudes of parameters ? are calculated, said ? is calculated at relationship between residence time logarithm and boiling point logarithm. Obtained parameter is sued to decide on possible efficient separation of potential organic fluids at given polymer material. After preparation of said gas chromatography column stationary fluid phase from membrane-forming polymer appropriate characteristics of preset pairs of organic fluids are analysed. Experiment made allows estimation of expediency of given polymer for separation purposes.EFFECT: possibility to forecast selectivity of soluble polymers and to optimise the composition of polymer mix of composite membrane.3 cl, 2 tbl
