The crop yield enhancing composition contains lipo-chitooligosaccharide and a chitin compound selected from a group comprising chitins and chitosans. The lipo-chitooligosaccharide in the composition is present in a concentration ranging from 10 -5 M to 10 -14 M, and the chitin compound is present in a concentration ranging from 0.1 to 15 wt %.
