titleOfInvention Catalyst for selective removal of acetylene hydrocarbon admixtures from ethylene monomers and method to this end
abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalytical purification of ethylene monomers for polymerisation. Proposed efficient catalyst comprises nanosized gold particles (2-5 nm). Mesoporous zeolite-like silicate MCM-41 with specific surface of 1000-1200 m 2 /g and volume of mesopores of 1.2-2.0 cm 3 /g is used as a carrier. Total content of gold in said catalyst makes 0.5-5 wt %. Selective removal of acetylene hydrocarbons from ethylene monomers is performed in the presence of said catalyst. Purification process is conducted by bringing initial mix of ethylene monomers in contact with aromatic amine at 100-135°C and molar ratio of aromatic amine: acetylene hydrocarbon making 1-2:1. Purification is conducted in static reactor or in flow reactor with fixed catalyst bed. In case styrene is used as an ethylene monomer, phenyl acetylene is removed in liquid phase. n EFFECT: lower reaction temperatures, no use of hydrogen, higher process efficiency. n 7 cl, 1 dwg, 9 ex
