titleOfInvention | Method for choosing therapeutic regimen for patients suffering acne |
abstract | FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: effectiveness of the prescribed laser therapy in the patient suffering acne is assessed by the following regression equation: K eff. =-8 . 03328-0.0710001*cortisol-0,334017*endorphins + 0.0526548*LDL + 1.31453*DAI init. , wherein K eff. is an effectiveness coefficient of the DAI progression, cortisol is the pre-therapeutic blood plasma cortisol level, endorphins is the pre-therapeutic blood plasma endorphin level, LDL is the pre-therapeutic blood plasma lipoprotein level, DAI init. is a pre-therapeutic dermatological acne index (DAI); if K eff makes 6.6 and less, then the laser therapy prescribed additionally as a part of the integrated treatment is considered to be ineffective - no more than 50% of the therapeutic DAI improvement; if K eff falls between 6.6 and 7.9, then the prescribed laser therapy is expected to be of medium effectiveness that is the therapeutic dermatological acne index is predicted to be reduced within the range of 50 to 75%; K eff. making 7.9 and more provides the additionally prescribed laser therapy predicted to be accompanied by the therapeutic DAI reduction more than by 75%. n EFFECT: method enables the biochemistry-based individual prediction of the clinical effectiveness of the laser therapy in the patients with acne and is characterised by ease of implementation. |
