abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, specifically obtaining preS-derived peptides of hepatitis B virus (HBV) and can be used in medicine. The hydrophobic modified preS-derived peptide of hepatitis B virus (HBV) of formula: H m -P-K n , is used in preventing or treating HBV and/or HDV infections, primary infections of HBV and/or HDV, hepatitis B and/or D, chronic hepatitis B and/or D, where P is a preS-derived peptide, which is characterised by the amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO:11 or SEQ ID NO:12; H is a hydrophobic modification of peptide P, which is carried out at the N end of P and is selected from acylation and addition of hydrophobic functional components; R is a C-terminal modification of peptide P, which protects the peptide from degradation; m equals at least 1; n equals 0 or at least 1.
