abstract | FIELD: food industry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food industry. The chewing gum base contains thermoplastic polyolefin elastomers. The elastomers represent copolymers of ethylene and another olefin. The other olefin is selected from among butene-1, 4-methylpentene, hexene and octene. Alternatively, the thermoplastic polyolefin elastomers represent copolymers of propylene and another olefin. In this case the other olefin is selected from among alpha-olefins C 4 -C 10 . Alternatively, the elastomers represent copolymers of two olefins. In this case the olefins are also selected from among alpha-olefins C 4 -C 10 .
