titleOfInvention Method of recycling spent solutions containing hexavalent chromium compounds
abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in mutual treatment of spent solutions from factories having chromium-containing waste water and waste water containing antibiotic production wastes. The method is carried out by adding sulphuric acid to chromium-containing spent solutions in a process vessel to pH 1-2, the reducing Cr(VI) to Cr(III) using waste water contaminated with antibiotic production wastes which contain butyl acetate and off-grade drugs - antibiotics ampicillin, oxacillin, cefazolin. The reduction process is carried out at temperature not below 30°C and not higher than 60°C with reactant reaction time of at least 10 minutes. Complete reduction is checked with a potentiometer method. n EFFECT: method reduces concentration of hexavalent chromium in spent solutions to maximum allowable concentration values or lower when recycling large amounts of waste water. n 2 dwg, 1 tbl
