abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of synthesis of 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds, namely to method of obtaining ethyl ester of 2-methyl-3-oxo-4-(2,6-difluorophenyl)pentanoic acid, which is applied as precursor of anti-HIV-1 active derivatives of 2-amino-6-[1-(2,6-difluorophenyl)ethyl]-5-methylpyrimidin-4(3H)-one. method of obtaining formula compound is realised in medium of organic solvent with application of 2-(2,6-difluorophenyl)propionyl chloride as acylating agent, with further processing of reaction mass with water solution of hydrochloric acid and separation of target product. Di(chloromagnesium) salt of ethyl ester of 2-methyl-3,3-dihydroxyakrylic acid is subjected to acylation, and as solvent used is absolute di-isopropyl ester, with molar ratio of 2-(2,6-difluorophenyl)propionyl chloride: di(chloromagnesium) salt of ethyl ester of 2-methyl-3,3-dihydroxyakrylic acid being equal 1:1.6-2.2. n EFFECT: increased manufacturability of synthesis as well as increased output of product with high purity degree. n 3 ex
