titleOfInvention Method of producing stabilised solutions of n,n'-bis(dimethylaminomethyl)urea
abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of stable aqueous solutions of N-aminomethylene derivatives of amides of carboxylic acids, particularly stabilised aqueous solutions of N,N'-bis(dimethylaminomethyl)-urea. The method involves reaction of aqueous solutions of dimethylamine, formaldehyde and urea in stoichiometric ratios at temperature of 5-50°C. Aqueous solutions of formaldehyde and dimethylamine are mixed and held for not more than 0.5 hours, and aqueous urea solution and 50% ethylene glycol solution in methanol is added to the formed reaction mixture in amount of not less than 0.01 mole ethylene glycol per mole of dimethylamine. n EFFECT: invention prolongs the shelf life of N,N'-bis(dimethylaminomethyl)-urea. n 1 tbl
