abstract FIELD: fire-prevention facilities. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical fire extinguishing agents, namely, fire-extinguishing compositions containing gas-forming chemically active substances and can be used to suppress fire sources in closed spaces. Pyrotechnic aerosol-forming composition for 3D fire fighting comprises potassium iodate as an oxygen-containing oxidant in the amount of 60-70 wt % together with potassium chlorate in the amount of 5-15 wt % at a weight ratio of the components (5-12):1, respectively, as organic fuel-binder - iditol - 10-12 wt %, and gas-forming - dicyanodiamide and/or urotropine in the amount of 10-18 wt %. n EFFECT: environmental friendliness of the generated aerosol mixture is provided at a temperature one half as high as that on analogues, and expansion of the area of safe use of the functionally reliable pyrotechnic composition.
