abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: invention describes a method for retrospective xenobiotic detection accompanying a sportsmen doping control procedure wherein once a new substance is published in Prohibited Drug List, its chemical formula is used to calculate its true molecular weight; further, the registered analytical characteristics particular for this substance and its metabolites are to be searched in a file of the previous doping analysis of sportsman's biological fluid samples as per a respective class of xenobiotics on the basis of the calculated molecular weight, and said analytical characteristics appear to be found, the sportsman is transferred to a risk group, and in order to prove the sportsman taking said new prohibited substance, a counter analysis of the preserved biological fluid sample is conducted by an alternative method, e.g. HPLC/MS-MS. n EFFECT: method enables the clear detection of the retrospective use of the prohibited chemical compounds by doping control procedure. n 1 ex, 2 tbl
