abstract | FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics. n SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary virology and biotechnology, and concerns a strain of bovine ephemeral fever virus (BEFV). The described strain is recovered from cows suffering from bovine ephemeral fever and deposited in the collection of microorganisms of Federal State Instituion Russian National Centre for Quality and Standartisation of Drugs and Feed for Animals, registration No. VNIIZZh-M - DEP. The strain is reproduced in the cell culture VNK-21 for 2-3 days and collected in the titre 5.5 to 6.0 lg TCD 50 /cm 3 , preserves the initial characteristics in passaging in the cell culture VNK-21 within 14 passages; it is used to produce an antigen for serum tests and hyperimmune BEFV blood serums with activity in neutralisation reaction 1:8-1:16. n EFFECT: strain possesses high biological and antigen activity in the native form and may be used for producing sensitive and high-specific biopreparations for diagnosing of bovine ephemeral fever. n 2 dwg, 11 tbl, 7 ex |
