abstract FIELD: food industry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to animal fodders production industry. The proposed invention relates to a composition dispersed in water for application as a pigmenting agent in animal fodders production industry, the composition consists of canthaxanthin and saponified calendula extract mixture containing between 1 and 500 of total carotinoid parts per each 1000 solution parts. The composition dispersed in water is applied for production of additives, premixes or products for animal fodder, for drink production, for pigmentation of eggs and living tissue. Additionally the invention relates to a method for production of the said composition consisting of three phases: 1) soap production by way of partial or complete saponification of a calendula extract, 2) production of a canthaxanthin extract dispersed in water and 3) stirring the both products under adjustable stirring and temperature conditions. n EFFECT: proposed invention usage will allow to produce additives, premixes or products for animal fodder, to apply the composition for pigmentation of eggs and living tissue. n 14 cl, 3 ex
