titleOfInvention | Seedlings improved with endophyte with increased resistance to pests |
abstract | FIELD: biotechnologies. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. The method is described to get a germ of a coniferous plant with increased resistance to pests, which includes the following: inoculation of a coniferous plant seed or an intact coniferous germ with an extracted toxigenic endophyte within a time interval of sensitivity, when the coniferous seed or coniferous germ is sensitive to colonisation with a toxigenic endophyte, where the time interval of sensitivity for the seed during seed stratification and for the coniferous germ is an interval from the stage of postemergence to the period of final formation of cuticle, where the stage of inoculation provides for bringing coniferous seed or coniferous germ in contact with the inoculate composition, containing a toxigenic endophyte, and growing the specified coniferous seed or coniferous germ to get a coniferous germ with higher resistance to pests. A coniferous plant is proposed, colonised with an extracted toxigenic endophyte, where the coniferous plant is grown from a coniferous plant seed or a coniferous germ produced by the specified method, where the coniferous plant produces a toxin moderating growth of pests, where the toxin contains rugulosin, vermiculin or 5-methoxy-carbonylmellein. n EFFECT: invention makes it possible to do large-scale inoculation of coniferous plants with desirable strains of endophytes. n 18 cl, 11 dwg, 4 tbl, 17 ex |
