abstract FIELD: printing. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to printing. Method of controlling the position of digital discs (7) of numbering device (1), and the numbering device (1) refers to the type of device that contains digital discs (7) with independent actuators, located next to each other rotatably around a common rotation axis. This method comprises actuation of digital discs (7) between successive numbering iterations to ensure the rotation of each digital disc (7), which must be rotated to a new target position, until, until it reaches its new target position. The method additionally includes at least during the actuation of digital discs (7), an exposure compensation on digital discs (7) of external factors such as friction caused by turning of adjacent to each other digital disks, achievable due to electronic control of each digital disk (7) position, which is not rotated or which has reached its new target position.
