titleOfInvention Non-petroleum foamed polyurethane products having improved technical characteristics and production methods thereof
abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: article made from foamed plastic, meant for use in making seats, for example as seat cushions. The article contains open-cellular polyurethane foamed material in which content of plant oil-based polyol material is more than 5%, and which is obtained by reacting a polyol-base mixture. The latter contains at least a portion of plant oil-based polyol, a copolymer of polyol, containing at least a portion of plant oil-based polyol, water, a cross-linking agent, a catalyst, a cell stabiliser and a surfactant, with isocyanate material. Functionality of the open-cellular polyurethane foamed material ranges from 2.3 to 2.9. By introducing additives, foamed material with an improved vibration transmission coefficient is obtained. A seat cushion with improved operational characteristics compared to a seat cushion made from standard petroleum polyol material is obtained. The comfort coefficient of the cushion is less than about 12.7. n EFFECT: use of open-cellular polyurethane foamed material as a seat cushion in a vehicle meets technical requirements for materials for this purpose and ensures dynamic and static comfort. n 16 cl, 43 dwg
