titleOfInvention | Method of hot rolling |
abstract | FIELD: process engineering. n SUBSTANCE: invention aims at simplifying production process and reducing heat losses in continuous casting and rolling. Proposed method comprises continuous casting of ingots at one or two lines, dividing said ingots into billets, leveling billet temperature over its cross section and further rolling. Additional heating of billets in heating furnaces before rolling is excluded due to the fact that ingot not completely crystallised is subjected to local reduction in two mutually perpendicular directions to produce ferro-impermeable partition performed in synchronism with ingot travel. Also, ingot is cut into separate billets at points of local reduction. Thereafter, ingot and billet are heated by thermostat. n EFFECT: billet with heat content sufficient for rolling. n 2 dwg |
