abstract | FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a nanocomposite which contains a halogenated elastomer with number-average molecular weight ranging from 25000 to 500000, containing C 4 -C 7 links derived from isoolefin, a polymer or oligomer with number-average molecular weight less than 25000, a functionalised polar group and clay. The polar group is derived from compounds selected from a group comprising alcohols, ethers, acids, anhydrides, nitriles, amines, acrylates, esters, ammonium ions and combinations thereof. The invention describes a method of producing a nanocomposite by contacting a halogenated elastomer, clay and a functionalised polar group of a polymer or oligomer and a method of preparing a nanocomposite by adding a functionalised polar group of a polymer or oligomer to the elastomer-clay mixture. n EFFECT: articles produced from said mixtures have high impact strength and low vapour permeability and can be used to make air bladders and inner lining of tyres and chambers for motorcars or aeroplanes. n 23 cl, 7 tbl, 40 ex |
