FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. Method for biological decomposition of petroleum hydrocarbons in sea ice-covered polar regions involves contacting the petroleum hydrocarbons with an inoculum. The inoculum contains a mixture of cold-adapted bacteria consisting of at least the following strains: Rhodococcus GH-1 (DSM 18943, DSMZ 22.12.2006), Dietzia GH-2 (DSM 18944, DSMZ 22.12.2006), Shewanella GH-4 (DSM 18946, DSMZ 22.12.2006), Marinobacter GH-9 (DSM 18951, DSMZ 22.12.2006), Pseudomonas GH-10 (DSM 18952, DSMZ 22.12.2006), Oleispira GH-11 (DSM 18953, DSMZ 22.12.2006), as well as nutrients and at least one an environmentally friendly carrier material on which at least the said bacteria strains intended for use are immobilised. ^ EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of decomposition of petroleum hydrocarbons in sea ice-covered polar regions. ^ 15 cl, 2 tbl, 2 ex |
