abstract FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pharmacology and is intended for extension of nomenclature of herbal medications for treatment of diabetes mellitus. Medication, representing bog bilberry shoots, demonstrates activation of glucose absorption by ischemic brain in treatment of type II diabetes mellitus. Studies were Indices of glucose-tolerant test at initial level, 30, 60, 120 minutes after glucose loading, as well as level of glucosuric activity. At the background of experimental DM utilisation of glucose by ischemic brain was determined by arterial-venous difference. n EFFECT: obtained results substantiate possibility of bog bilberry shoots application in clinic. n 1 tbl
