abstract | FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: method of regenerating hexanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane (CL-20) from composite solid propellants relates to recycling and disposal of weapon systems. The method involves hydraulic jet disintegration of the charge of composite solid propellant based on a matrix of aluminised inert polymer binder filled with dispersed CL-20, and a water-soluble oxidising agent to obtain a suspension of disintegration products. The suspension is split into an aqueous solution of the oxidising agent and a crushed matrix of the binder filled with CL-20, from which oxidising agent residues are washed away and then dried. Further, CL-20 is extracted from the dried mass of crushed fragments of the matrix with acetone at temperature 20C to obtain an extract. Direct crystallisation of the CL-20 -polymorph from the extract is carried out in an evaporation-type apparatus while adding an anti-solvent and inoculum. The inoculum used is crystals of the CL-20 -polymorph. The obtained residue is decanted from the mother solution and further recrystallisation of CL-20 is carried to remove traces of the oxidising agent. ^ EFFECT: complete extraction of the product and improved quality of the product. ^ 3 cl, 1 dwg |
