titleOfInvention | Ethylene synthesis method |
abstract | FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for synthesis of ethylene from ethanol starting material A, characterised by the following steps: 1) ethanol starting material A reacts in a vapour-phase reactor in which at temperature between 160 and 270°C and pressure higher than 0.1 MPa but lower than 4.5 MPa, ethanol is converted to a stream B of products which contains ethylene, diethyl ethers, water and unconverted ethanol, 2) said stream B of products is cooled, 3) said cooled stream B of products is split in a splitting apparatus to obtain a first stream C which contains ethylene and diethyl ethers, and a second stream D of products which contains water, diethyl ether and unconverted ethanol, 4) said stream D of products is fed into a dehydration apparatus in which a stream F of water vapour is separated from the stream E of diethyl ethers and unconverted ethanol, 5) said stream E is returned to dehydration reactor of step 1, 6) said stream C of products is cooled, and 7) said cooled stream C of products is fed into a purification installation in which a stream H of diethyl ethers is separated from the stream 3 of ethylene. The invention also relates to a method of converting hydrocarbon to ethylene using the method described above. n EFFECT: invention improves separation of by-products. n 9 cl, 1 dwg |
