abstract |
FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing several types of aromatic polycarbonates from a melt using a continuous method, as well as apparatus to this end. The method involves supply of a molten mixture of bisphenol A and/or diphenylcarbonate as initial substances. The mixture is prepared in the absence of a re-esterification catalyst. The mixture is fed for the polycondensation step into an apparatus consisting of two lines. Each line is fitted with three vertical reactors connected in series and one horizontal reactor. Simultaneously, the polycondensation reaction is carried out in the presence of a re-esterification catalyst. n EFFECT: invention enables to obtain an aromatic polycarbonate without loss associated with readjustment of equipment, and prevents deterioration of the quality of the product. n 7 cl, 4 dwg, 4 ex |
