FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: ethylene/α-olefin block-copolymer which contains polymerised ethylene and α-olefin links and characterised by average modularity greater than 0.1 and less than approximately 1.0 and molecular weight distribution Mw/Mn from 1.3 to approximately 3.5. Also, the ethylene/α-olefin block-copolymer is alternatively characterised by presence of at least one fraction obtained through fractionation of during elution at high temperature (TREF), where the fraction has modularity greater than approximately 0.3 and less than approximately 1.0. Such modularity distribution influences general physical properties of block-interpolymers. Selection of polymerisation conditions enables to alter modularity distribution, thereby enabling design of desired polymers. n EFFECT: block-copolymers have several end uses, for example they can be used to prepare polymer mixtures, fibre, films, moulded articles, lubricants, base oils. n 82 cl, 16 dwg, 18 tbl, 42 ex |
