titleOfInvention Method to forecast success of treatment of acute intestinal infectins caused by conventionally pathogenic microorganisms, in infants
abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, in particular, pediatrics and infections diseases and may be used to forecast success of treatment of acute intestinal infections caused by conventionally pathogenic microorganisms in infants. The following clinical-laboratory parametres are identified: quantity of colony-forming units (CFU) of bifidus bacteria in 1 g of faeces, expressed by value of decimal logarithm; quantity of CFU of S. aureus in 1 g of faeces, expressed by value of decimal logarithm; quantity of CFU of Klebsiella in 1 g of faeces, expressed by value of decimal logarithm; availability of fever; availability of visual signs of mucus in faeces; result of patient's body weight assessment according to age using centile tables, expressed in points from 1 to 7; availability of hypotrophy; use of probiotics in complex therapy on the basis of lactobacteria. Values of linear classification functions LCF are calculated, LCF 1 - unsuccessful treatment, LCF 2 - successful treatment. Values of LCF 1 and LCF 2 are compared, and the result with higher LCF is forecasted as most probable. n EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase accuracy of forecasting of successful treatment of acute intestinal infections caused by conventionally pathogenic microorganisms in infants. n 3 tbl, 3 ex
