abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for synthesis of purine nucleoside 5'-aminoimidazole-4-carboxamide riboside (AICAR) and a Bacillus subtilis strain VKPM V-10167 - producer of AICAR. AICAR is obtained by culturing modified Bacillus subtilis bacteria in a suitable culturing medium.
