abstract | FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention belongs to medicine, notably to anaesthesiology and neurology, it can be used in conditions requiring a superior gluteal nerve block. To accomplish block patient lies on his stomach horizontally with feet adducted. First line is drawn at the back through projection of ischiadic bone's lower point on the frontal plane, and upper point of hipbone crest. Then second line is drawn through projection points of the most lateral protrusion of greater trochanter and lower margin of fourth lumbar vertebra's spinous process in men and second lumbar vertebra in women. Through intersection of both lines' projection point, perpendicularly to frontal plane hollow needle is inserted up to the bone, and then 2-5 ml of 1% trimecain solution is injected. Then needle is drawn 1 cm out and 50 ml of mixture containing 0.02 g of dexamethasone, diluted in 100 ml of 1% trimecain solution, is injected. Then needle is drawn out 1-1.5 cm more and 50 ml of mixture is injected. After that needle is drawn out until its point is situated in the middle of gluteus maximus muscle in which solution of vitamin B12 is injected at the basis of 4 mcg per kg of patient's body mass. ^ EFFECT: method allows raising superior gluteal nerve block's effectiveness due to enhanced accuracy of medication delivery. ^ 2 cl, 1 dwg, 2 ex |
