FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves cultivation of a microorganism of Enterobacteriaceae family capable to produce L-amino acid, in a nutrient medium, and recovery of said L-amino acid from the culture liquid. Said microorganism is modified by the introduction of a DNA fragment including a pho regulon promoter and a structural gene coding L-amino acid biosynthesis enzyme ligated behind the promoter in such a manner that gene expression is controlled by said promoter.
