abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to ophthalmology, and can be used for the administration of preventive antibiotics in ophthalmic surgeries. That is ensured by intravenous introduction of Cefuroxime in dosage 750 mg 30 minutes before the procedure. Repeated introduction of Cefuroxime is carried out after the procedure intramuscularly in the same dosage, in 8 hours after the first introduction. In the patients with a severe accompanying pathology, introduction of the antibiotic after double introduction is continued for 5-6 days intramuscularly 3 times a day in the same dosage. n EFFECT: method provides effective prevention of infectious complications, including due to the penetration of Cefuroxime through the blood-aqueous barrier and the creation of required concentration of this antibiotic in a visual organ at the different stages of surgical management. n 1 ex
