abstract FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: blood serum is analysed for ceruloplasmin activity. If ceruloplasmin is 37.9 relative units and lower, high degree of activity of chronic hepatitis is diagnosed, the value of ceruloplasmin within 38.0 relative units to 46.4 relative units show moderate degree of activity, and mild degree is indicated by ceruloplasmin within 46.5 to 57.9 relative units. ^ EFFECT: use of the method allows for the most precise determination of degree of activity of chronic hepatitis in out-patient conditions. ^ 3 ex, 1 tbl
