titleOfInvention | Method of general anaesthesia in external carotid ligation in patients with oropharyngeal tumours |
abstract | FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery and anaesthesiology and can find application in external carotid ligation operation in the patients with locally advanced inoperable oropharyngeal tumours. Substance of a method consists that under general anaesthesia with artificial pulmonary ventilation the external carotid is separated and ligatured on an involved side. In the process of operation, the applied anaesthesia does not contain muscle relaxants and requires independent breathing of the patient in combination with secondary percutaneous transtracheal high-frequency artificial pulmonary ventilation through a microcatheter inserted in a trachea being punctured without tracheotomy, tracheal intubation and injury of the oropharyngeal tumour. ^ EFFECT: use of the given invention allows for adequate and safe general anaesthesia without formation of tracheostome and injury of the oropharyngeal tumour. ^ 1 ex |
