abstract |
FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: method and device which are designed for generating energy from a composition which contains guanidine in amount ranging from approximately 10% to 100% of the mass of the composition, as well as a method and device for obtaining the said composition are proposed. The method of generating energy using a composition containing guanidine involves: (a) reaction of the composition with water to form ammonia and carbon dioxide; and (b) either oxidation of ammonia obtained at step (a) to form water, nitrogen and energy; or conversion of ammonia obtained at step (a) to nitrogen and hydrogen, and (c) oxidation of hydrogen obtained at step (b) to form water and energy. The method of preparing a composition containing guanidine which is used in the energy generation method involves (a) use of an energy source to extract hydrogen from water; (b) reaction of hydrogen obtained at step (a) with nitrogen to form ammonia; (c) reaction of a portion of ammonia obtained at step (b) with carbon dioxide to form urea; (d) reaction of urea obtained at step (c) with a portion of ammonia obtained at step (b) to form a composition containing guanidine. n EFFECT: method and device enable generation of energy from a composition containing guanidine which, when mixed with water, is an alternative to fossil fuels and has an edge over fossil fuels in terms of safety and environmental friendliness. n 47 cl, 9 dwg |
