abstract | FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and can be used as an anti-mosquito agent. The method involves growing a Sesquicillium candelabrum F -114 fungus strain which is deposited in the collection of microorganisms of the State Research Centre of applied microbiology and biotechnology on Chapek+ solid medium at 23°C for 12 days until formation of a continuous aerial mycelium with adult colonies with subsequent culturing at the same temperature on Sabouraud's medium with addition of yeast extract for 6 days until formation of a blastospore. The obtained culture liquid is centrifuged to obtain a centrifuge effluent. The obtained centrifuge effluent is extracted with methylene chloride on a continuous liquid-liquid extract for 30 hours. The obtained extract is purified with solvents of different polarity (hexane, chloroform, ethylacetate, methanol) with subsequent flash chromatography and subsequent high pressure liquid chromatrography to obtain 2,3-dimethoxy 5,6-dimethyl benzoquinone which has mosquitocide properties. n EFFECT: invention widens the range of agents for making mosquitocide preparations. n 3 ex, 4 tbl |
