titleOfInvention Method of simplified activity rating of nucleolar-forming chromosome regions
abstract FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: to analyse the activity of NFC regions, a blood sample is drawn from ulnar vein to be cultivated to make metaphase chromosome preparations. Thereafter, the chromosome preparations are analysed to investigate the activity of the NFC regions in cells and to calculate an NFC regions activity index (NFCR AI). If the NFCR AI is within 0.064 to 0.070, the activity of the NFC regions is considered as normal, the values 0.058 to 0.063 show hyperactivity, and 0.071 to 0.075 - hypoactivity; if the NFCR AI is 0.057 and lower, the activity is sharply increased, while the NFCR AI 0.076 and higher indicate the sharply lowered activity. Application of the method allows improving accuracy and availability of determining early changes of the activity of the NFC regions in cells. ^ EFFECT: well-timed and adequate prescription of a corrective approach to normalise the NFCR AI in each specific case allows optimising genetic processes and ensures eugenesis in mothers-to-be. ^ 5 ex
