titleOfInvention Method of treating alcoholism and/or drug addiction
abstract FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to drug addiction psychiatry, and can be used in integrated treatment of alcoholism and/or drug addiction. Clinical, experimentally psychological, neuroimaging and electrophysiological methods are applied. The examination data are used to prescribe psychopharmacotherapy that involves mood stabilisers, antidepressants, atypical antipsychotic drugs, integrated treatment according to G.N. Kryzhanovsky; psychotherapy following detoxification and involves a death funeral procedure providing obligatory digging a full-size grave: 2 m long, 2 m deep and 70 cm wide. Thereafter, he patient has to stay for 15 minutes therein by himself to imagine how bad and lonely the death will feel being pressed with a ground from the top and suffering from impossibility to get out. Then the patient has to take a dose of a used narcotic drug to write thereon: 'My Death', and to dig with observing all the funeral rituals. Further, in drug addiction a long-term dynamic follow-up of narcotic drug traces in urine samples is obligatory for at least 3 years. After each failure, the patient digs out the next grave half-metre deeper than the previous one. All the procedures are controlled by the members of his family; each of them is responsible and controls the way the patient fulfils the obligations taken. ^ EFFECT: method allows increasing therapeutic effectiveness, essentially reducing risk of criminogenics and victimity and allows performing the successfully individualised, pathogenetically oriented addiction therapy. ^ 1 ex
