titleOfInvention Voltammetric system for analysing biological substances
abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: method of determining concentration of analysed substance in a sample involves acyclic scanning of the sample, where acyclic scanning involves forward and reverse linear scanning. Acyclic scanning involves a number of one of forward or reverse current peaks greater than the number of the other current peaks, or begins and ends at essentially the same voltage. When scanning begins, the greatest value is ±20 mV of the formal potential E°' of the redox pair or oxidation and reduction peaks of the redox pair are essentially excluded; current is measured as a function of voltage variation; and concentration of the analysed substance in the sample is determined from current. A measuring device for determining concentration of analysed substance in a sample is also proposed. Haematocrit compensation combined with data processing can reduce the haematocrit effect on analysis of glucose in whole blood. In another aspect, higher scanning speeds can reduce haematocrit effect. n EFFECT: improved method. n 58 cl, 12 ex, 1 tbl, 17 dwg
