titleOfInvention | Refractory glaucoma surgery technique |
abstract | FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, more specifically to ophthalmology and can be used in surgery of the patients underwent surgery of refractory open-angle glaucoma. In involves corneal paracentesis through which a viscoelastic preparation is introduced into anterior chamber. After a surface scleral flap is formed, deep scleral layers are extracted to uncover internal layers of corneoscleral portion of trabecula and Descemet's membrane. Then the surface scleral flap is fixed in corners and in the middle of side faces; thereafter the viscoelastic preparation is introduced under the fixed scleral flap with carrying out trabeculotomy thereunder and implanting a drainage made of cross-linked polyhydroxyethyl methacrylate with polymer content 5 to 70% saturated with mitomycin C (MMC) solution in amount 0.001 to 0.05 mg; herewith one end of the drainage is inserted through trabeculotomy into anterior chamber, and its other end projects from under the surface scleral flap on episclera. ^ EFFECT: technique allows reducing number of intra- and postoperative complications, degree of expressiveness of local adhesive reaction to improve effectiveness of the operated open-angle glaucoma surgery technique and persistent prolonged normalisation of IOP. ^ 2 dwg, 3 ex |
