titleOfInvention | Anti-oxidation compositions of octylated diphenylamines and method of preparing said compositions |
abstract | FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to anti-oxidation compositions based on diphenylamine, which can be used as stabilisers of polymer materials, lubricant materials and oil, as well as to a method of preparing said compositions. The method of preparing the anti-oxidation composition involves catalytic alkylation of diphenylamine with three-fold excess diisobutylene relative diphenylamine in the presence of an alkylation catalyst in amount of 5-30 wt % relative diphenylamine at temperature ranging from 140 to 160°C. Water contained in the catalyst is azeotropically removed, and diphenylamine is then left to complete the reaction with diisobutylene. After completion of the reaction, the mixture is separated from the catalyst. Unreacted diisobutylene and possibly present low-boiling components are removed and the reaction product is obtained through rectification, extraction and/or crystallisation. n EFFECT: reduction of unreacted diphenylamine, simplification and reduced cost of the technology of producing anti-oxidation composition. n 16 cl, 3 tbl, 12 ex |
