titleOfInvention Method and device for obtaining information on size distribution of microscopic particles in liquid
abstract FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method and a device with which information on size distribution of particles in a liquid can be obtained by using reflection of ultrasonic pulses from microscopic particles, such as oil droplets or sand grains in water. The proposed device has a control unit, which is connected to a signal generator, a detector and a computer. The output of the signal generator is connected to the input of a converter, and the output of the detector is connected to the input of the computer. The converter is connected to a channel with liquid for generating an ultrasound beam. ^ EFFECT: possibility of using ultrasonic measurements to describe size distribution of particles in liquids for higher concentrations. ^ 7 cl, 5 dwg
