abstract | FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: virulent anthrax bacillus strains are grown on dense nutrient medium. Antigens of S-layer are diffused into nutrient agar and are detected with appropriate serums by creation of immunoprecipitation lines. Capsule is identified visually by morphology of colonies and with the help of light microscopy of smears colored by Rebiger.
