titleOfInvention Method of purifying coastal water from film-type and dispersed petroleum products in water surface layer
abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: method involves placing a filter in the contamination zone, where the filter is filled with sorbing medium, populated with oil oxidising microorganisms. The sorbing medium used is floating agal plantation, the base of which is a system of joined synthetic ropes, planted with laminaria and focus algae. Laminaria is placed deep in the water on vertical ropes of length 5 m, and focus algae are placed on horizontal ropes in the surface layer. n EFFECT: invention increases rate of converting oil contaminates dispersed on the sea surface to products which are safe for marine biota, increases service life of the proposed protective structure due to processes of natural development and restoration of association of algae and oil oxidising bacteria. n 8 tbl
