titleOfInvention Electrodes for electro-chemical destruction of intraocular neoplasms and method of their introduction
abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: electrodes contain active intratumoral, intrascleral and extrascleral parts. Flexible electric wire for connection to apparatus of electro-chemical lysis ECL is rigidly fastened to free end of extrascleral part. Electrodes have circular milling on whole length of intascleral part 0.1 mm deep, which is filled with bioinert electroinsulating material. Method of electrode introduction consists in the fact that electrodes are introduced in neoplasm under ultrasonic control transsclerally: in center of tumor base; on line of largest base diametre from its both ends, indenting 1.5 mm from edges of tumor base from each end. Central electrode is introduced perpendicularly to sclera, not reaching 1.0 mm to tumor top, and peripheral electrodes - angularly to sclera in such way, that end of electrode peak is at distance 1.0 mm from tumor peak and 1.5 mm from its lateral surface. n EFFECT: claimed group of inventions ensures minimal damage to structures and tissues of eye during introduction of electrodes, absence of necessity of additional surgical manipulations after finishing ECL, formation of necrosis zone in whole tumor volume in absence of injury to surrounding structures and tissues of eye. n 4 cl, 2 ex
