abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: fumigation of containers with bactericide smoke, formed by burning beeswax, is done using a sulphur stick and wicks placed inside it. The wicks are prepared using known technology, only replacing molten sulphur with molten wax. The wick inside the sulphur stick is burnt and placed into the container, which is covered by material. Several wicks are burnt and placed into larger containers. After burning out oxygen from the container and filling the container with smoke, the wick stops burning and the remains are removed together with the sulphur stick. The container is filled with wine material or wine right away. Facilities are also fumigated by burning wicks and wax candles. n EFFECT: higher quality of finished product, giving the product crystal clearness and high taste qualities, reduced content of harmful impurities in the finished product.
