titleOfInvention | Apparatus and method for combined electric and radiation therapy in upper gastrointestinal diseases |
abstract | FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to physiotherapy and gastroenterology. The method involves visually endoscope-aided local contact action on nidus. The action is performed by electrophoresis and radiation therapy. Electrophoresis of medical products is performed including: enzymes, local anaesthetics, antibiotics by direct current 2-3 mA/cm 2 within 10 minutes. The radiation therapy implies lasing of wavelength 0.63 mcm, density 3-5 mW/cm 2 , radiation dose 1-2 J/cm 2 within 4-6 minutes. The method is implemented by means of an apparatus that comprises an electrode catheter with a contact element on one end and a connector with cannulas on the other end. Along the full length of the electrode catheter, there is passing single-fibre light guide. The light guide ends on the surface of the contact element. It can be displaced in distal and proximal directions and provided with a light-refracting bead element on the end. n EFFECT: apparatus improves clinical effectiveness due to simultaneous action on different pathogenesis links of erosion and ulcers of upper gastrointestinal tract. n 4 cl, 2 dwg |
