titleOfInvention Minimally invasive combination surgery technique for open-angle glaucoma and cataract with implantation of intraocular lens
abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: invention refers to ophthalmology and can be used for single-step surgical treatment of glaucoma and cataract. Conjunctiva is dissected along limb in length 3 mm. Corneal paracenteses are performed with opening capsule of lens. A surface scleral flap is formed to transparent corneal layers with its base to limb of size 2×2 mm. A deep scleral flap is formed to Schlemm's canal cavity. Adjoining juxtecanalicular part of trabecule is removed, and Descemet's membrane is uncovered. The made deep scleral flap is positioned with approaching anterior chamber. Phacoemulsification follows, and IOL is implanted into capsular sac. Paracenteses is sealed. Thereafter the deep scleral flap is removed. The technical effect consists in reduced hemorrhagic, inflammatory and hypertensive complications, acceleration of healing processes. n EFFECT: method provides reduced time of rehabilitation and ensured high, stable visual functions combined with permanent hypotensive effect in long-term postoperative period. n 1 ex
