titleOfInvention Method of determining toxicity of aqueous media
abstract FIELD: physics. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to examination of water using special methods for toxicological evaluation of quality of aqueous media and for environmental control for diagnostic and research purposes. The method involves taking a sample of an aqueous medium, filtering it, correcting pH to physiological values and subsequent analysis. Two parts by volume of a 10% solution of bovine serum albumin is added to one part by volume of the sample of aqueous medium. The mixture is stirred and a drop of the obtained material is put onto a specimen slide and dried at room temperature for 18-24 hours. The structural macro-portrait of the dehydrated droplet is analysed under a light microscope and if there are distinguishing features in form of dashed, parallel, concentric, multiradiate, rounded and circular cracks in form of a black net, in form of rippling, wrinkles, Wallner lines and Arnold tongues, the aqueous medium is toxic. n EFFECT: fast, reliable and simpler determination. n 2 ex, 3 dwg
