abstract FIELD: medicine; nephrology. n SUBSTANCE: in the first days, risk factors are determined from clinical-laboratory indices: central venous pressure, platelet and lymphocyte count in peripheral blood, electrocardiological signs of left ventricular myocardial hypertrophy, coagulation time, alkalipenia and plasma bicarbonate deficiency, creatinine content in plasma. Said indices are graded and evaluated to determine prognostic factors F 1 , F 2 thereafter being compared. If F 1 exceeds F 2 , high probability of functional recovery of kidneys and favourable clinical outcome are predicted. However, F 2 exceeding F 1 indicates low probability of functional recovery of kidneys and unfavourable clinical outcome. n EFFECT: possibility to predict functional recovery of kidneys and clinical outcome of septic acute renal failure, higher effectiveness and purposive nature of medical actions in groups of terminal patients. n 2 ex
