titleOfInvention | Inverse-voltampere method of determining verapamil hydrochloride |
abstract | FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: present invention can be used in medicine for determining concentration of verapamil hydrochloride in the blood of patients with heart rhythm disorder and arterial hypertension with the objective of changing the treatment approach. The said method involves electrical concentration of substance on the surface of a glass-carbon electrode for 120 s and electrolysis potential of (+0.05) V on the background of a 0.001 mol/l solution of ammonium nitrate, alkalised by a 0.2 mol/l solution of sodium hydroxide. Polarisation curves are then plotted with a direct current form of potential sweep at a rate of 50 mV/s. Concentration of verapamil is determined from the height of the peak in the potential interval from 0.8 V to 0.95 V, relative a silver chloride electrode. The experimental conditions set for determining concentration of verapamil hydrochloride using an inverse voltampere method allows for more sensitive and rapid determination of the said compounds in aqueous and biological media, and also allow for designing a method of determining content of trace amounts of verapamil hydrochloride in blood plasma and serum. n EFFECT: design of an efficient method of determining verapamil. |
