abstract FIELD: veterinary science. n SUBSTANCE: method includes orthopedic hoof clearing, bathing of necrotic suppurative focus with 1...2% potassium permanganate solution, surgical processing and local application of medical product. Medical product is represented with ointment with components being products of dry sublimation of wood and sea-buckthorn bark and polyethylene oxide - 1500. Products of dry sublimation of wood and sea-buckthorn bark are taken in ratio to polyethylene oxide - 1500 as follows 1.8:1-2.2:1. Affected region is coated with ointment impregnating gauze napkins. Then wound is dressed. Canvas boot is put on limb distal region. Procedure is repeated every 18-24 hours until wound defect is completely healed. n EFFECT: allows for decreased edema area, reduced painfullness, recovered physiological function of limb, as well as reduced time of healing and higher efficiency of treatment.
