titleOfInvention Films or structural external materials using coating composition capable of self cleaning and method of their preparation
abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: proposed coating composition contains 1-15% of the mass is inorganic particles, with the average particle diameter from 5 to 30 nm; 0.05-3% of the mass is inorganic particles, with the average particle size from 0.2 to 5 microns; 1-15% of mass, organic-silane compound of the formula R n Si(OR') 4-n , where R represents C 1 -C 8 -aminoalkyl group, glycidehydroxyalkyl group or isocyanatealkyl group; R' represents the lowest C 1 -C 6 alkyl group; and n equals a whole number from 0 to 3; 50-85% of the mass is solvent, chosen from water and an organic solvent with an average boiling point of from 60°C to 150°C; 0.1-3% of the mass is photo-catalytic particles and 0.001-2% of the mass is an acid. Also described is the method of preparing the above mentioned coating composition, support such as a film or structural external material, having excellent ability to auto cleaning and resistant to stains, using the above mentioned coating composition, and the method of obtaining it. The coating composition in which inorganic particles containing hydroxyl groups are used can improve the initial hydrophilic nature of the usual coating agents, and also form a hydrophilic coat which has the angle of contact with water 30° or less, due to the use of two types of inorganic particles, having different diameters of particles. The composition can be used in the usual industrial line for constructional external materials without the addition of a separate coating line. n EFFECT: improvement in the capability of self-cleaning and resistance to dirtying of the composition and articles with its use. n 12 cl, 9 tbl, 1 dwg, 7 ex
